National Ag Day 2021

National Ag Day 2021

National Agriculture Day in 2021 was Friday 19th November. This year the theme was choose your own #AgVenture and across Australia the fabulous and fulfilling career opportunities on offer in agriculture were celebrated.

Kids to Farms hosted an action packed event at Luna Park in Sydney – read more and view the photos here

At Kids to Farms, we celebrated National Ag Day with a colouring in competition, as well as encouraging schools to order Ag Packs to complete on the day!

Congratulations to Indiana (K/1 St Joseph’s School Adelong), Jock Harris (Year 3 Rowena Public School) and Culley (Year 4 St Joseph’s School Adelong) who were our competition winners for 2021.

These students have won a Garden Starter Kit for their school to help them and their classmates learn more about how food is grown!

Kids to Farms colouring in

Looking for a quick and easy activity to do with your students? Why not grab the below colouring in sheets for your students? Send a photo of your students’ finished sheets to kidstofarms@nswfarmers.org.au and we can share it on our Instagram page @kidstofarms_nsw

All students who send in their colouring in will receive a Kids to Farms water bottle or sunscreen to use when they’re out in the garden.

Connect with a farmer

Kids to Farms is also providing the opportunity for schools to connect with farmers across NSW at any time.

Farmers will connect into your classroom and chat about what life is like on the land, before answering any questions your students might have about what it is like to be a farmer, or where their food and fibre comes from.

To register your interest for this opportunity, get in touch with the Kids to Farms team today.
