Carramar | Barooga

A family-run sheep and cropping farm near the Murray River

During your visit, there may be sheep in the yards or in the paddocks and there will definitely be plenty of sheep dogs and “house dogs” looking for a pat. Keep an eye out for 10 goats, sometimes found balancing on farm machinery!
At Carramar, kids will learn why farmers look after their soil so that they can grow crops- to feed sheep and people.
A tour of the shearing shed will also help educate students about the importance of the Australian wool industry.
There are many tree belts around the farm for children to enjoy their morning tea or lunch in and learn about how the environment and farms are connected.
