100 acres of family farming with animal and plant production year-round, situated between Lismore and Casino.
Gracemere Farmstead is a working farm where children can see a wide range of animals and participate in a large variety of farm and outdoor experiences. There are geese, egg laying chickens, meat chickens, donkeys, egg-laying ducks, meat ducks, goats, horses, dairy cows and beef cattle. There are ample opportunities for the children to get up close to the animals. There are always some baby animals for children to observe and even cuddle! The property is child friendly with many wonderful things to see and do. There are plenty of gardening activities that the children can be involved in as well with our wicking bed gardens and fruit tree orchard. There are many different learning experiences for all ages on our farm.

  • Group size: Minimum of 21 students. Can host up to 40 students. Can host high schools.
  • Visiting times: Gracemere Farmstead is available to visit all year round, with plenty to see and do 12 months of the year!
  • Farm activities: Watch a cow and goat milking demonstration, observe and take part in some veggie garden and fruit orchard activities, observe chicks in a brooder, noisy geese and ducks and even help feed them! Students can also learn about concepts such as rotational grazing.
  • Amenities: Bus access, toilets, signposted, wheelchair access, meets safety requirements
